John Travolta, born February 18, 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey, is an American actor, singer and dancer. He is one of the most famous and successful Hollywood stars and has played numerous memorable roles throughout his career.

Travolta began his career in the 1970s in the television series "Welcome to Life", in which he played the main role of Vinnie Barbarino. However, his big breakthrough came with the film "Saturday Night Fever" in 1977, when his portrayal of the passionate dancer Tony Manero made him an overnight star and established him as an icon of the disco era.

Another milestone in Travolta's career was the film "Grease" (1978), in which he starred alongside Olivia Newton-John. The film and his iconic role as Danny Zuko made him one of the most popular actors of his time.

In the 1980s, Travolta continued his successful streak, starring in films such as "Urban Cowboy" (1980), "Blow Out" (1981) and "Staying Alive" (1983). However, his career suffered a setback in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when he struggled with some flops.
